Ramlie. With Mike Ibrahim they recorded a number of EPs in the early 1970s that have more of a 1960s feel, one of the heavy variety!

  1. This band was one of the earliest Malay bands to push the envelope where Malay Rock was concerned. Their guitar player was experimenting with Fuzz and Wah and using it to colour their songs.

  2. I was there when Mike Ibrahim & The Titiwansa celebrated their night and perform a concert at Dewan Jubli Intan Batu Pahat. That will be unforgottable night for me and the band who perform before Titiwangsa that night was for me just like Led Zeppelin you know…Please those who know where are that guy nowadays to contact me right away. I will appreiate vey very much…

  3. These guys used to be my pals in the 60’s and we used to jam together when in Woodlands. They are not from Johore. We were actually a group of boys living in Singapore Woodlands area at Lorong Fatimah.

I am interested in contacting them. If anyone know where they are, I would appreciate if you can drop me a line.

    Cheers

    1. my dad was supposed to be in the lineup that night. he played keyboard. (he can play the organ, keyboard, accordian etc but i think he played keyboard for this particular gig) they already practiced but my sister got really sick n need immediate attention so my dad didnt get to join them during the competition. so there goes his one shot at being in the limelight.not sure how the full story goes coz i wasnt born yet at that time..(my dad is 83 this year) 😅 he went by many stage names too..carmen cavallero, s.m. amin..and towards the end of his “musician” days he plays more black jazz on the piano.. idk if anybody still remembers him.. 🤍

  4. I remember the newspaper reporting of Mike getting electrocuted while performing at Stadium Negara back in the 70s.

  5. I think the lead vocal in The Nite Walkers is from Singapore and this one the Nite Walkers theirselves from Johor , respond from the author said this group from Southern Malaysia the Peninsular and not Sarawak nor Sabah North Borneo. 🙂
