Teenie Chenault Alear 45 I'm So Alone

Alear Discography

Below is anTeenie Chenault Alear 45 I'm So Alone incomplete discography of Jean Alford’s Alear Records label from Winchester, Virginia.

Most of the disks are country, except the Don Dupree is supposed to be doo wop backed by a girl group. Only the Smacks are garage rock as far as I know.

Publishing is usually either Alear Music or Pamper Music.

Gloria Megee wrote to me about her Alear single from 1978, “This Woman”, “Jim McCoy Studios, Buddy Charlton, steel; Roy Justis, fiddle; and John Kaparakis, guitar. It was well received on Big K [WKCW] when the old Tom Cat played it.”

  1. Wow! I cannot believe you actually have created this. My mother is Vicki Day who recorded “Another Hurt” and “don’t Wake Me”. She was in the Frederick News Post in Februay 2010 because her records showed up on youtube…no big deal…but the posting was from the UK.

  2. I recently found a near mint 45 on Alear by Frank Darlington. “Have
A Little Patience” and flip side is “You’re My Girl.” The label is perfect and autographed by Frank. Does anyone have any idea of the rarity or value of this 45 as I cannot find it in any price guides, auctions, Google etc. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
